| Welocalize Newsletter - November 2007 | ||
QUARTERLY UPDATE Q3 marked dramatic changes in worldwide financial markets sparked by the subprime mortgage collapse in the US. In addition, we are seeing the dollar at an all-time low and oil at an all-time high. Despite these challenges, Welocalize has continued to grow, and this is a testament to our great staff, clients and partners. Q3 2007 marked our 23rd consecutive quarter of growth with our company reporting 17.6% growth over Q3 2006. Our record of growth was recognized during the quarter by Deloitte with Welocalize ranking in their annual Maryland Fast 50 Program for the seventh straight year. Welocalize also ranked in Deloitte’s 2007 Technology Fast 500, a ranking of the 500 fastest technology, media, telecommunications and life sciences companies in North America. Other accomplishments include the integration of our acquisitions, Localize Technologies in Silicon Valley and the localization division of TechIndex in Tokyo. I am happy to report that both have been proceeding as planned with 100% retention of staff and clients. Our growth has remained strong, and our success is a reflection of our great people, and our clients’ and partners’ steady support. Thank you for another great quarter. I look forward to an exciting 2008. |

24-hour Collaboration in Japan
With the expansion of our office in Tokyo, Welocalize Japan has been able to streamline the client review process, acting as a problem-solver and mediator between our customers’ in-country offices and the localization team in the US and Europe. Communication between these two teams can be very tricky and often defeating. Between varying time zones, diverging priorities and ambiguous processes, the in-country review team often receives little notice before translations are sent their way and language queries must be answered through late night or early morning calls. A corporate globalization strategy provides you with specific localization requirements for each product-market pair. Nowadays, few companies apply the same localization requirements to all products and markets.
